What is BayCLIC?
A Collaborative Focused on Climate Change Education
The Bay Area Climate Literacy Impact Collaborative (BayCLIC) is a consortium of over thirty environmental education institutions working in partnership to make the San Francisco Bay Area the leader in climate education and action. We represent parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, energy efficiency nonprofits, local government agencies, and many more. Based off of the collective impact model, we work collaboratively to address the most pressing climate education needs of informal educators in the region and provide targeted resources for this community.
Dig Deep into Extreme Events
Explore how educators and scientists can work toward climate literacy and action in the Bay Area in this interactive workshop. The focus of the workshop will be extreme events in the region and how they relate to climate change, with topics such as wildfires, droughts, and floods. Join us in Oakland on Thursday, Dec. 7, 9:30am - 1:30pm. Light refreshments will be served but please bring your lunch. Register here. This workshop is one in a series of local climate and education workshops that BayCLIC will be offering this year.
