What is BayCLIC?
A Collaborative Focused on Climate Change Education
The Bay Area Climate Literacy Impact Collaborative (BayCLIC) is a consortium of over thirty environmental education institutions working in partnership to make the San Francisco Bay Area the leader in climate education and action. We represent parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, energy efficiency nonprofits, local government agencies, and many more. Based off of the collective impact model, we work collaboratively to address the most pressing climate education needs of informal educators in the region and provide targeted resources for this community.
Climate Leader in Action!
Looking for environmental justice programs or funds? Climate Leaders in Action (CLiA) is an innovative climate literacy program for High School youth in West Contra Costa County. CLiA will be providing a no-cost program for educators and students to engage in local, environmental justice-related topics in four module areas: Energy, Water, Waste, and Climate Impact. Through the program, participants, especially young women interested in STEM, are actively encouraged to apply for student action project grants to create change in their own backyards! CLiA is a program of The Energy Coalition and is funded in part through a grant provided by EPA Local Region 9 under the Environmental Education Modeling initiative.
