What is BayCLIC?
A Collaborative Focused on Climate Change Education
The Bay Area Climate Literacy Impact Collaborative (BayCLIC) is a consortium of over thirty environmental education institutions working in partnership to make the San Francisco Bay Area the leader in climate education and action. We represent parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, energy efficiency nonprofits, local government agencies, and many more. Based off of the collective impact model, we work collaboratively to address the most pressing climate education needs of informal educators in the region and provide targeted resources for this community.
Energize Schools Summer Teacher Trainings
Energize Schools is excited to offer weeklong teacher trainings this summer for their CTE Energy, Environment & Utilities high school project-based learning course series, one of which is the Energy and Environmental Design (EED) course. EED is a year-long project-based learning courses designed to prepare students for careers in energy innovation and climate protection. In EED, students complete projects such as designing a zero-net energy building. The course will be offered from Monday, July 30-Friday, August 3 in Oakland. The training is $2000 but full scholarships are available for CA high school teachers or informal educators working with high school students that can provide reporting information on how many high school students they served through this project (travel and stay not included).
